St. Andrew’s Lutheran Endowment

The St. Andrews Lutheran Endowment was established because members of our church wanted to continue giving after their lifetimes, to leave a legacy of support for our church ministries for generations to come.

How does it work? Your original gift is invested along with the gifts of others to provide long-term growth in the principle. Each year, St. Andrews can use of to five percent of the fund balance to advance our ministries. With new gifts and investment returns, the principle continues to grow into perpetuity.
Your gift continues to give long after your lifetime.

An estate gift is the best option for some of our members. Others contribute during their lifetimes or make gifts now and through their estate plans.
A gift during your lifetime qualifies for a 25 percent Endow Iowa Tax Credit, which is a State of Iowa provision for gifts to endowed funds such as ours. This tax credit reduces the cost of giving, allowing more giving than might be possible without the Endow Iowa program. The credit is making a big difference for our church and other local nonprofits.
