EMF Scholarships 2019

Purpose and Eligibility

The scholarship provides incentive for confirmed members of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church to attend colleges and seminaries and is available only to St. Andrew’s members who have been accepted for admission by a college or seminary. The same student may receive the scholarship for more than one year if the student is enrolled full time and is making satisfactory progress toward a degree.

Application Information

The application letter must include the applicant’s name, address, phone number and email address, as well as the criteria listed below. The application need not be long, in the 1 to 2 type-written pages range.

Application Criteria – Application letters should include:

• The school you will be attending
• The major you are pursuing and why it interests you
• Your involvement at St. Andrews
• Any school and community activities you have been involved in
• Any awards or recognitions you have received

Application and Selection Process

Eligible and interested individuals should submit a request to the Extended Ministry Fund Committee via the church office (office@standrewsames.org) by June 1, 2019 for the 2019- 2020 academic year.
In any year when there are requests for scholarships funds, the Extended Ministry Fund Committee will review the applications and determine allocation of scholarship funds.
